After less then two months online, Family Tree Guide has taken off as a popular place to plant your family tree. It’s time for a master search of that data! At this time this search indexes only about 1/3 of the websites hosted by Family Tree Guide, but the index, like the site, grows every day. So check back often!

We’ve restricted the search to only two fields (first and last name) because the different methods used by each person in building their own family tree concerning dates and event locations varies greatly. For instance, AR, Ark. and Arkansas all stand for the same location, but its difficult to produce a search capable of looking for all 3 when one is entered.

While we don’t allow you to narrow your search using dates and locations, we do provide those in the results for your search, so you should be able to quickly narrow your search down. Each result is linked to the person in the family tree online; once at the individual family tree you can pull up a pedigree or descendancy chart if available. Registering for a particular family tree site only allows you access to that family tree IF the owner enables that access. We value greatly the rights of the people who create the family tree, and we empower them to control their own data like no other website!

Family Tree Search has been built to search the sites on Family Tree Guide (FTG). It is meant solely as a master search into the many family tree sites at FTG. Please contact the individual owner of the information for additional data.
