AccessGenealogy is one of the largest providers of free genealogy databases online. Created in 1999 by Dennis Partridge and Judy White, it’s collection of free databases now surpasses 1 million names. The following update provides just a glimpse into the growing collection:

Ancestor Search has posted almost 200 passenger lists of German-Speaking German, Swiss, Dutch & French Protestant immigrants to Pennsylvania. Some of the descendants of these Palatine immigrants are today known as “Pennsylvania Dutch” or “Pennsylvania German”.

The Battery Conservancy is preparing to launch CastleGarden.org on August 1, 2005 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the immigrant depot at Castle Garden on August 1, 1855.

Ancestry has opened up it’s World War 1 Draft Registration records for visitors of Access Genealogy for free. This will cover a 14 day period between July 4 - July 17 2005. The only thing required to view the records is an email address and your name. No credit card required! This is not a 14 day trial of all of their material. It is strictly limited to their World War 1 Draft Registration images.
